The three day intensive program will cover a range of topics and insha'Allah will provide students with a solid foundation of the deen. __________ The Courses ● Imam Amin Muhammad will resume his teaching of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) from the first Dowra, continuing to teach from Ar-Risalah al-Jami'ah by the great Shafi'i scholar Ahmad Ibn Zayn al-Habshi (d. 1145 A.H.). During this Dowra, we will review the topics from the last Dowra, and concentrate on fasting, zakat, and Hajj, insha'Allah completing the five pillars of Islam. ● Shaykh Imadudeen Abu Hijleh will address Islamic family matters, enlightening us with topics that are especially important to Muslims in current times. He will address critical issues such as rights and responsibilities of both spouses, divorce, custody issues, polygamy, and finance. The lectures will be based on traditional works of the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. ___________ Our Teachers ● Imam Amin Muhammad is a native of Atlantic City, NJ who has studied with traditional Shuyukh from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Lebanon. Among the Shuyukh whom he has benefitted greatly from are Shaykh Walid Ar Rifa’i, Shaykh Mahmud Addam, Shaykh Jamal Zahabi, Shaykh Samir An Nass, Shaykh Salahud Din Al Idlibiyy, Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Shaykh Abdullah bin Ali Basfar and others. He has studied many of the Islamic sciences such as ‘Aqidah, Fiqh, Tafsir, Sirah, Hadith, and Hadith methodology. Presently, Imam Amin teaches Hadith, Fiqh and delivers Jumu’ah Khutbah at Masjid Muhammad in Atlantic City, NJ. He also teaches and lectures at various mosques in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. He is also a teacher and advisor at M.E.C.C.A. ● Shaykh Imadudeen Abu Hijleh was born in Palestine. He has lived in the U.S. for twenty years. He studied the Islamic sciences under traditional scholars and received ijazas in Aqida, Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and sub-sciences according to the Shafi’i school. He founded and taught at the Razi Institute in Massachusetts, an educational institute dedicated to the Islamic sciences. Shaykh Imadudeen has taught many students who have completed their studies under him, and who have later gone on to establish their own Islamic institutions in the U.S. He has taught courses at Harvard University and Manchester College through their respective Muslims Student Associations, as well as the “40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi” at the Summer Intensive for Western students at Dar Al-Mustafa in Tarim, Yemen in 2008. He is the author of the book “An-Nujum ul-Lami’a,” an 850 page book including topics such as Aqida, Fiqh, Seerah and Sufism.
